Every one of our coaches is fully qualified. They must undergo comprehensive training and continue to develop professionally to work at our Academy. We teach them coaching skills for driver training and awareness, how to best involve parents in the learning process and how to maximize their ability to work with teens.

Mercedes-Benz has called upon two very notable individuals to lead the new, Los Angeles location: Marc Hemsworth and Russ Shuster.
Marc is an LAPD veteran with more than 30 years of experience and brings his expertise in road safety to our organization to train and oversee our staff of driving and classroom instructors. He spent 25 years as a police driving instructor, the last 5 of which were spent as a Chief Driving Instructor for the LAPD.
Russ has worked in driver safety working both with the private and public sector for 20 years. He spent the first 10 years managing a reputable driving school in Los Angeles. For the past decade, Russ has primarily been a Defensive Driving Trainer for the state of California’s Office of Risk and Insurance Management (ORIM), where he co-developed the curriculum to teach and evaluate state employees' driving skills. He also taught driver safety to government agencies such as the Department of Justice, Department of Motor Vehicles and California Highway Patrol.
