Mercedes-Benz Driving Academy - Gold Sponsor of California State PTA Annual Convention April 28 2011

Mercedes-Benz Driving Academy sponsored the California Parent Teachers Association’s 2011 annual convention in Long Beach, CA, April 28-May 1. More than 3,000 California PTA members learned about the Driving Academy. Mercedes-Benz also described a parent and teen safety workshop with partner Impact Teen Driver’s and the California Association of Highway Patrolmen. The program will be available to Los Angeles-area high schools starting this summer.

At the convention  Mercedes-Benz also announced to  partner with Impact Teen Drivers and the California Association of Highway Patrolmen to offer a two-hour workshop at Los Angeles area high schools. The purpose of the program will be to bring law enforcement, awareness advocates on reckless and distracted driving and driver’s training all together for a practical in school session.  

Since 2008, Impact Teen Drivers, a public awareness campaign created by the California Association of Highway Patrolmen, has been working to effectively reach over 1,000,000 teens to share with them the dangers of reckless and distracted driving.
